The week long event is holding at the National Museum in Yaounde; former Presidency of the Federal Republic of Cameroon and runs from November 7-13, 2016 under the distinguished patronage of the President of the Republic, Paul Biya and has as theme "Culture and Emergence." During the week, the youths are enjoined to identify with their cultural practices and customs as this sends a strong message to the world about their identity wherever they find themselves. While showcasing cultural diversity, many participants testify it is a good jamboree where they have had to market their ideas, products and acquisition of knowledge. The Head of State captures it in this message boldly written and put up at the entrance,
"Culture consolidates unity. it has several facets which range from oral, academic and aesthetic culture to civic and political culture."
Meanwhile, celebrating culture, Cameroonians are told it is another way of promoting peace and the stability of the state given that country that has lifted the peace banner over the years faces security threads from many fronts especially from Boko Haram in the Far North Region in Maroua.
